Answer:
Yes, of course. The LG 55LW5600 is able to display 2D images in 3D. All you need to do is by pressing the 3D button on the remote control, the conversion process will start but it should not require a significant amount of time.

Does 55LW5600 3D TV supports or compatible with the DirecTV 3D channels?
Answer:
Yes, the Direct TV 3D channels will work with 55LW5600. You can find five dedicated 3D channels; first is pay-per-view based service, and one ESPN3D. The other three channels are a mix of both free and pay programs. Furthermore, passive or active glasses are similar on how the television itself portrays the image to audience. Both passive and active glasses also use the same overlay layout on the screen. So in short, if it works for one, it will work for the other. Likewise, when televisions get to a state where they no longer require glasses, they will also work with 3D channels. Answer:
You can easily connect the unit by connecting an Ethernet cable from the router to the back of the unit. After the internet connection is established and your Netflix account is activated, you should be able to access the broadband services and stream movies from Netflix.

How to remove the base form the TV in case I want to mount the TV on the wall?
Answer:
